Upon reviewing the COVID-19 guideline for live event from the CDC, CDPH, and Monterey County, the Board of Directors of the Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of California has decided to move to an entirely digital format and cancel the live portion of the 2020 Fall CME Conference originally scheduled to be held in Monterey, CA on September 11-13. After meeting with representatives from the Monterey Plaza Hotel, it became clear that we would not be able to hold this event while reasonably ensuring the safety of our physicians and event support staff.
This was an incredibly difficult decision and one which was not made lightly.
Although we’re disappointed that we won’t be able to see you in person at this year’s event, we are incredibly excited to offer the same CME you’ve come to trust in through an On Demand format, available for viewing in September and October at your convenience.
If you had reserved a room at the Monterey Plaza Hotel, your reservation will be cancelled by the hotel and any deposits paid will be refunded.
While we understand that this may be a disappointing announcement for many of our attendees, we are offering those who registered to attend in person three options:
Convert Live Registration to a Virtual Registration
Apply your registration fees towards registration for the 2021Annual Convention
Full Refund of event fees (registration, guest passes, and/or syllabus copies)
You can make your selection by sending an email with your choice to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than July 24th. Any registrants who have not converted to digital registration or requested a transfer to the 2021 Convention by that date will automatically have their registration cancelled and be refunded their registration fees.
